Recipes that Rock, fancy that.

Lazing away this chilly Sunday I was procrastinating about my next post. Flipping through tv channels wondering what information I wanted to share next. Then I stumble across the channel 7 two premiere of Recipes that Rock. I’m a huge fan of cooking shows, more specifically, instructive cooking shows. Jamie Oliver, Everyday Gourmet, Nigella Lawson, those are the kind of cooking shows I enjoy most. This new show Recipes that Rock was such an unexpected gem. Showing off the skills of rock star turned cheese-maker, Alex James, and rock’n’roll-loving celebrity chef, Matt Stone, this show really got my attention.

During this first episode Alex and Matt discover the local produce and people of the beautiful Margaret River, while sharing some uniquely Australian recipes. I was amazed to see the different salad ingredients native to Australia used in the show, I had no idea we even had a native lime fruit! Its better known as the finger lime and has these little caviar like seeds that look and taste amazing according to our chefs.

Its scheduled to be on Sundays at 1.45pm next week so if you’re around or you can record it, check it out!
