Tips for an organised Christmas

With 24 days until Christmas it just makes sense to get stuck in and organise yourself for a smooth and fun silly season.

Grab a notebook, an excel sheet, or use an app on your smart phone and write down everything you need to make, purchase or do for Christmas. You need to consider any events you have coming up that you might need to organise something for. Think about any possible activities or catch ups you have now until the new year and write them down. When do the kids have their school break up? Do you or your kids need to have a ‘thank you’ gift for the teachers? Is there a Kris Kringle at work? Do you have a Christmas catch up with your girlfriends? Do you always order a ham or turkey from your local butcher? Do you supply a desert for Christmas eve? What are you doing for new years eve? Do you always send a package to your relatives that live interstate/overseas? Note it all down.

Of this list make sure you write all events into your diary now and add new items as they come up. Now that you have this list you have the perfect starting point. From here we’re going to break it down into what we can get done sooner rather than later, and what needs to wait until closer to your events.

Using some highlighters or a numbering system, match up your tasks by grouping the items into the following sections: Gifts, Decorations, Food, and things to do.

This is the best way to stay on top of your organising this Christmas!
