Everyone has different traditions for father’s day. Some like to let Dad do whatever he wants on his own for the day, others like to head out for some family fun. Check out these fun father-son and father-daughter activities for children of all ages and dads with all different interests. You’re sure to make lasting memories!
Play Golf or Mini Golf. Whether Dad is a pro on the golf course or just enjoys a fun game of mini golf, an afternoon of golf is fun for fathers and kids alike. Going to the driving range is a great activity if Dad wants to start teaching the kids the “real” game.
Go to the Footy. This time of year brings some very interesting football to Melbourne. Why not take your Dad out to a game on the weekend. He might even just like to watch the game at home with the whole family.
Bowling anyone. Whether you head out to your local alley for a few family founds or you fire up the wii, bowling is a fun game for the whole family.
Movie night. How often does your Dad get to choose the movie? Tonight is his night! If he has been out all day doing the things he loves, why not settle in for a movie together. Don’t forget the pop corn.
Fishing. Heading out to a fishery can be a really fun family experience with guaranteed results. If the kids are older you can take Dad out for a real fishing trip (don’t forget a packed lunch! Just in case).
Breakfast in bed. An oldie but a goodie! What better way to wake up after a sleep in than with some delicious breakfast in bed. For older kids why not head out for brunch.
Games and sports at home. Grab your footy and make a fun afternoon running around the back yard. Who needs to keep score when you are having that much fun.
