During March and now April I have been taking part in some Google Plus challenges. These challenges involve using this platform more often and trying to use all of it – we’re really making the most of it basically.
I have discovered a number of things I was not aware of before starting these challenges such as:
Google+ Hangouts: this is a free video chat service from Google that enables both one-on-one chats and group chats with up to ten people at a time. How cool!
Communities: Whether they’re for your family, your book club or people around the world who share your interests, Communities give each of your different groups a home base. And there are Communities for EVERYTHING! Not to mention my own community for lovers of the Patricia Briggs Mercy Thompson/Alpha and Omega Series (Mercyverse).
What’s new: Sharing things with different groups (circles) is really easy. You can post photos and videos, or plan events. Sharing an image or website is as easy as copying and pasting the link – it does the preview automatically so you don’t need to sauce images.
I’ve been using this more then facebook since the start of the challenges! So its easy to see this is a fun platform. If you’re looking for a new way to stay in touch with people or a way to connect with new people with the same interests give google plus a go.
